In addition to its signature NSLVE study on campus voting rates, the Institute for Democracy & Higher Education undertakes qualitative research to examine the campus climates and institutional characteristics that lead some colleges and universities to have higher than expected political participation.

This book chapter, reprinted here with permission as an IDHE Report [linked on the right sidebar], features an exclusive look at a portion of IDHE’s qualitative findings. This set of data, known as Politics 365, explores the themes seen at institutions with unexpectedly high student voting rates.
